If we upgrade our plan, will it affect the existing tenant in any way? What measures do we need to take before upgrading the plan?

When going through the process of upgrading the plan of a tenant, any features that were blocked behind a specific subscription ( for example Enterprise features ) will become available for the tenant and quota limits will be raised for the tenant. Once completed, you can link additional tenants under the same subscription by the steps mentioned in our doc on how to Link Multiple Tenants to a Single Subscription.
Let us know if you are interested in any specific changes that might happen and we can look into it further for you. Generally speaking, after upgrading the tenant it will be enabled with the features and upper limits of the plan that you chose.
