Auth0 by Okta Community Ask Me Anything with the Self-Service Subscriptions & Billing: Recap
Our Auth0 by Okta Community Ask me Anything (AMA) online event was last week about all things Self-Service Subscriptions and Billing with Adeel Mustafa, Director Product Management at Auth0 by Okta.
Before we dive into a summary of the event, we wanted to extend a huge thank you for your enthusiasm and insightful questions. As a token of our appreciation, we have awarded all participants with a special community badge!
Here are the main highlights from the session:
-
Adjustments to Auth0 pricing
- We plan on revisiting which plan mixes are available within our self-service options, including add-on options as well as the Monthly Active User limits to hopefully have more options for our self-service users.
-
Combining subscriptions
- We’ve just launched Team Subscriptions, which are specifically designed to address this challenge for self-service users
-
Upgrading or downgrading from self-service
- Those are available through the self-manage options in the Auth0 dashboard unless you want to have a totally customized plan, which requires you to contact our sales team.
-
Losing access to subscription and getting charged
- This will be discussed and analyzed case by case. That is why we encourage you to reach out to our support in situations like that, so they can help you. We also recommend that our users invite other admins where possible and also offer account recovery options, and the ability to setup multiple auth factors to reduce risk of a lost access
-
What pricing tier to pick?
- That’s where our pricing page comes in handy, and more specifically the compare table that will allow you to compare each plan in terms of feature availability, etc.
