Webtask Editor can't be accessed (404 error)

Hello,

Is WebTask’s editor not working for anyone? When I try to access the URL https://webtask.io/make , it returns the following error:

This webtask.io page can’t be found

No webpage was found for the web address: https://webtask.io/make

HTTP ERROR 404

Does anyone else know how to resolve this issue? has the URL for the editor changed?

Thanks,
Chris

Hey there!

It happens sometimes. Are you logged into Webtask?

Hey @konrad.sopala, thanks for the quick response.

Where can I check if I’m logged in? On the Webtask home page there doesn’t seem to be any login/logout prompts.

Thanks,
Chris

It seems that the docs here have a link to https://webtask.io/login, which gives the same 404 error when I try to open it.

Logging in on the forum doesn’t fix the issue.

Hi @chris19,

Logins to the Webtask.io website and online editor have shut down for good as of April 15, 2020.

What do I need to know?

Support for the webtask.io service will be ending in 2020, in a phased shutdown. The first phase of the closure will be the end of the login service on the webtask.io website. End of life for the webtask.io API, /wt Slack commands, and the webtask.io Slack instance will follow.

This shutdown will only impact the standalone webtask.io service. Features of Auth0 built on the Webtask framework will continue to function as normal.

Specifically, there will be no impact to the following Auth0 features:

  • Rules
  • Hooks
  • Extensions
  • Custom Database Connections
  • Custom Social Connections
  • Existing named Webtasks

What changed?
On April 15, 2020, the website at webtask.io stopped accepting user logins. Users are no longer be able to access or modify their Webtasks via the webtask.io website. The online code editor at https://webtask.io/make no longer functions.

The Webtask.io API remains functional for now. A shutdown date for the API has not yet been announced.

The webtask.io Slack remains functional. A shutdown date for the Slack instance has not yet been announced.

What do I need to do?

To ensure that you do not lose any of your code, download backups from webtask.io using the wt-cli utility.

Questions and Feedback
We’re on the Webtask.io Slack instance to help you with a smooth transition.

What questions can I answer for you?

Thanks for the response. I’ll try and download using the wt-cli utility later this week, and will start a new thread if I have any issues.

Chris
