Problem statement
Both Node12 and Node16 can be selected as the Extensibility Runtime in the Advanced Tenant Settings at this time, but these versions are past end-of-life. Is there any problem in continuing to use it?
Solution
While it is strongly encouraged to update to Node 18 to adhere to best code security practices, there are no plans to forcibly update customer tenants to Node 18 at this time. If Node12/16 is going to be unsupported in Auth0, a communication will be sent out with a migration timeline with time to migrate to Node18 without experiencing any service disruptions.
