Hello Auth0 Community!
We are announcing Node 22 Support for Actions and other extensibility products.
In order to stay up to date with Node.js releases, we are adding Node 22 support for Auth0 Actions, Rules, and Hooks. You should begin seeing the option to upgrade your tenant’s Extensibility Runtime setting to Node 22 on January 15, 2025.
What exactly does this mean for you?
Although Node.js 18 will remain available, its usage may not be consistent with industry standards due to the end of LTS. It is important to note that as of April 30, 2025, the Node.js community will stop supporting Node 18, including software patches, security fixes, and beyond. We strongly encourage you to update your global tenant Extensibility Runtime setting to Node 22. You can do so by navigating in your Auth0 Dashboard to Settings → Advanced → Extensibility.
You can also select Node 22 for Actions while creating new Actions or bumping existing Actions versions.
Thanks a bunch and please do let us know if you have any comments and/or feedback!
