I am admin user and admin for the tenancy. I had a working tenancy, application and API last year. But all my configuration is now gone/reset. When I try to create an Application or an API, I keep getting error saying You don’t have permissions… How do I get my access back?
Hi @aniruddhac
Welcome to the Auth0 Community!
I understand that you are encountering the " Error! You don’t have permissions to access the resource" message when attempting to make changes to your tenant.
This error would indicate that your tenant has been deactivated due to inactivity and you should have received an email that notified you about the situation. At the moment, there are 2 options available for creating a new tenant under the same email address, however you can always create a new account using any of your email addresses and create a brand new tenant:
- Wait until the inactive tenant is automatically deleted, which can take up to 30 days;
- Upgrade the subscription to a plan that allows you to have more than 1 tenant in the team, for example - Essential or Professional plan.
If however your tenant has not yet been fully deleted and you need to recover it, please send a DM ( Direct Message ) to @support forwarding all the information provided and also confirm the email address of your Auth0 account and the name of the tenant where you are experiencing this issue. The DM creates a private conversation where more sensitive details can safely be shared with us for troubleshooting.
Best regards,
Gerald
Thanks Gerald. My account was indeed inactive for almost a year now, and I was trying to activate it again. I will reach out to support to delete the account.
Can someone from @support please help start a DM for tenant and account deletion? Pardon my ignorance, but I haven’t figured out a way to start DM with support while on free tier.
Hi @aniruddhac
Thank you for confirming!
I will send you a DM to make things easier and we can continue the conversation over that thread. You should have visibility over your DMs by clicking on your profile picture in the top-right of the screen → click on the envelope button.
Looking forward to your input!
Best regards,
Gerald
