I’ve configured a custom SMTP email provider in my tenant and enabled the setting:
“Use my own email provider — Route all emails that are part of Auth0’s authentication workflows through a high-volume email service.”
However, when using Passwordless Email login with send: "link", the emails are still being sent from root@auth0.com, not my configured SMTP or sender identity.
This breaks email deliverability (especially with corporate firewalls), hurts our branding, and directly contradicts the expectation set by that setting.
I need you to:
- Confirm whether Passwordless magic link emails can be routed through my SMTP provider.
- Enable this behavior on my tenant if it is currently disabled by default.
- Explain Auth0’s intended long-term support for SMTP in Passwordless flows under New Universal Login.
This behavior cost me real time in a production context. If there’s a tenant-level flag or workaround available (e.g., whitelisting, Actions override), please advise immediately.
Thanks
