I’m using SendGrid as e-mail provider, but it seems that the password reset and blocked user e-mails are not arriving (even when I hit “Try” button). Could you please check?
You should check if you’re in the same situation as the user in this other question; if you are, the answer contains a direct fix for the reset password email template and that fix should also be adaptable to the blocked user email template.

There’s no definitive date; I agree that it is a very confusing behavior, but depends on the priorities of other items and for this one there’s also a workaround.
