Problem statement
When using the New Universal Login, the custom text saved in the placeholder or description custom text fields does not display the correct text on the login widget.
Troubleshooting
Check the password reset screen to see the types of input credentials that are supported.
Solution
The types of credential input supported by the password reset screen will determine the text field that can be customized for the Description and Placeholder fields.
The type of credential input supported in the screen below is in the form “Phone or Username or Email”. See the text highlighted in green on the image.
In this example, the Placeholder or Description custom text field property should refer to these 3 types of inputs.
for example phoneOrUsernameOrEmailPlaceholder or phoneOrUsernameOrEmailDescription
To update the Description text in the case, the correct custom text field to edit is phoneOrUsernameOrEmailDescription.
