Member Verification not delivered

I can’t verify my first admin member because the verify email (seems) to never be delivered to me. Our domain is @mkpusa.org, and we’re using Google for our mail hosting. I’ve checked my spam folder, I’ve waited many hours for delivery, no luck.

Any thoughts on how to solve this?

Many thanks,
-Travis

Travis, the missing admin verification email for your @mkpusa.org Google Workspace account is likely due to spam filtering, delivery issues, or a problem on the sender’s side. First, thoroughly check all spam/junk folders and then use the Google Workspace email log search to track the email’s status. Also, check the quarantine in your admin console. Whitelisting the sender’s domain/email might prevent future issues. If these fail, try resending the verification, reviewing your domain’s DNS records (though less likely), and ultimately contacting the application’s support team for assistance as the problem might be on their end. Checking the Google Workspace status dashboard for outages is also a good idea.

I noticed that the auth0 community verification had the same problem. It’s as if Google’s Hosted domain email service is blocking email from Auth0’s outbound email provider/service. When I switched to my @gmail.com address, the email was immediately delivered.

Andrea16King, thanks for the response.

Yes, I’ve checked all the obvious avenues that I have access to (including the spam folder). In this case, the message appears blocked from be delivered by the source. To my knowledge, there is no “whitelisting” possible with google accounts. In this case, the source of the email is Auth0 itself. Both Auth0 the Admin Service and the Auth0 Community … which I presume are using the same email delivery service behind the scenes.

I don’t have direct access to Auth0 tech support, but I’m hoping ( :crossed_fingers:) that someone from Auth0 IT / tech support will see and help find a way to get their send service unblocked by google for business.

Anyone else have any thoughts on how to get help on this?

I have an update. We have two similar domains and that I have signed up for our auth0 account with the wrong domain. My email address is @mkp.org, not @mkpusa.org.

So now the challenge is that I’ve created our account with @mkpusa.org and I need to change that account owner hasn’t yet been validated … there doesn’t seem to be a workflow to enable changing the owner/admin account email until after the owner/admin account has been validated.

Any advice on how to fix this?

Thanks!

I figured the only way was to blow away the old account and sign up with the correct email address.

Two product improvements I’d recommend:

  1. A way to change the owner email in the case when it hasn’t yet been validated.
  2. Clearer signaling that the email wasn’t able to be delivered.
