Locked out of Auth0 Billing after replacing old admin

Hi everyone,

I replaced an old Auth0 admin user with a new one because I wanted to change the email.

I added the new user as Admin, confirmed dashboard access, and then removed the old admin. Now the new admin can access the tenant, but cannot access the Billing page.

It seems the old user may have had separate billing/team owner permissions that were not transferred with the normal Admin role.

What should I do now? I don’t seem to have any way to create a support ticket from my current account. Is there any way to recover or transfer billing access from the dashboard, or does Auth0/Okta support need to fix this manually?

Billing information can not be transferred from the Auth0 Dashboard, however the appropriate level of access can be granted to the rightful owner through a support ticket.

From your mentions, I understand that the subscription might be listed in the context of a Team, in which case only Team Owners can view/update billing information.

Please send a DM ( Direct Message ) to the @support group including the email address of the current admin, the tenant name and if the tenant is managed within a Team, the Team’s name as well, so we can initiate a request on your behalf, so that the Admin of the tenant can also get Team Owner access.
