Email verification being completed by email software and user receives an error

Hi, we are experiencing an issue where users receiving their email verification follow the link and receive an error message. Looking at IPs it would appear there is a lot of commonality and points to an email server / security software processing the email link.

It would appear to be the same issue as this thread: Verification Link gives page that says "Error: your email address could not be verified."

The suggested solution for this was a tenant feature that could be enabled. Is this now generally available? If not could I please be directed to how I can enable this on our tenant. I didn’t get a message option when clicking on @david.bolton 's name.
