Custom Text Customizations are Not Working as Expected in Login Page 'sign-up' Prompt

Overview

There are certain issues observed when setting a custom text and customizing the sign-up prompt on the Universal Login page. The specific issues are related to:

  1. There is an asterisk ‘*’ shown in the emailPlaceholder label.
  2. The user is not able to enter the password, and the password rules are not present.
  3. The changes in the invalid-email-format field are not reflected in the final user interface.

This is observed when:

  • Identifier First is enabled.

This is enabled under Dashboard > Authentication > Authentication Profile > Identifier First.

  • Accessibility options are enabled.

This is enabled under Dashboard > Branding > Universal Login > Advanced Options > Settings > Accessibility > Enable WCAG 2.2. AA compliant …

If this accessibility setting is disabled, the issues are not present.

Cause

There is backlog item to fix these and other similar issues.

Solution

To workaround this issue, disable the Enable WCAG 2.2 AA compliant UI for Universal Login (Early Access) option.

  1. On the dashboard, navigate to Branding > Advanced Options.
  2. Click on Settings > Accessibility.
  3. Disable the Enable WCAG 2.2 AA compliant UI for Universal Login (Early Access) option.
