Hi everyone! In our Community Engineers Spotlight series, we’re highlighting the passionate individuals who unleash their expertise to support, guide, and empower fellow developers. Christina: Can you share a bit about yourself? What does a typical day look like for you?
Teodor: Once coffee
is on my desk, I start looking at the topics that were posted after my previous shift. If I’m not familiar with their subject and they are solved by my colleagues, I make sure to read and learn from their solution. Then I assign myself the cases I know I can solve and start working on them. ![]()
Christina: What inspired you to become a community engineer in the Auth0 Community, and how did you get started in tech?
Teodor: I started in tech with a Computer Science degree in Denmark, followed by 2 years of working as a .NET and Angular developer. Then I moved back home to Romania, and I found this position with Auth0.
As a CS student, I watched a lot of YouTube videos of Okta and Auth0 conferences and learning materials, so I had to take this opportunity to be a part of Auth0.
Christina: Can you share a memorable or rewarding moment you’ve had while helping developers in the Auth0 Community?
Teodor: Every time I get a thank you, it means that someone is no longer stuck in their work, and that’s rewarding to me. ![]()
Christina: Outside of your role as a community engineer, what’s something about you that people might be surprised to learn?
Teodor: Outside of my role, I try to spend as much time as possible in nature, away from technology.
But when that’s not possible because of the weather, I play video games and I build my own software tools to be as efficient as possible in the games I play. ![]()
Christina: If you could give one piece of advice to someone new to the Auth0 Community, what would it be?
Teodor: I think it’s important to first thoroughly search
the community for the information you are looking for before creating a new post to ask your question. This creates a habit of researching before asking, which is essential for a developer, and it also helps the community by keeping the forum clean of duplicates.
Christina: Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
Teodor: I like spending time in nature, so I go on hikes, I do gardening, and my main hobby is observing, identifying, and photographing species of plants and animals. ![]()
Thanks for sharing, Teodor! Stay tuned because we have a few more community engineers to feature!
