Community Engineer Spotlight: Gerald Czifra

Hey Community!

In our Community Engineers Spotlight series, we’re highlighting the passionate individuals who unleash their expertise to support, guide, and empower fellow developers. These community-driven experts are solving problems, sharing knowledge, and building solutions to help make your journey with Auth0 easier.

Now without further ado, let’s get to know: @gerald.czifra !

Christina: Can you share a bit about yourself? What does a typical day look like for you?

Gerald: I usually have my coffee first thing in the morning, followed by breakfast. I get some chores done or some housekeeping, then I come in to work. :man_technologist:

Christina: What inspired you to become a Community Engineer, and how did you get started in the tech industry?

Gerald: The collaborative spirit here makes for a more personal and rewarding experience. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I started about 5 years ago after my graduation, with a Helpdesk position from which I learned new skills and earned certifications that allowed me to have a broader perspective. Switching from different roles feels like part of a journey.

Christina: Can you share a memorable or rewarding moment you’ve had while helping developers in the Auth0 Community?

Gerald: I find it rewarding when Community members help each other, either by sharing tips on the product or using our own documentation as useful resources. When we develop a discussion over a specific topic with our Community, that does stand out from the rest, and I think this is the only environment where it can happen. :white_check_mark:

Christina: Outside of your role as a Community Engineer, what’s something about yourself that people might be surprised to learn?

Gerald: I would say that I enjoy solving mechanical puzzles and that scary movies  no longer have an effect on me.

Christina: If you could give one piece of advice to someone new to the Auth0 Community, what would it be?

Gerald: I highly believe in continuous learning, so I would say use it as a resource as much as possible. :brain: With the discussions and topics brought up and the knowledge shared between the members, you can learn Auth0 and other tech-related information without too much effort—even though things can get overwhelming sometimes.

Christina: Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?

Gerald: In general, getting out of the house - either in nature or to meet with friends. Things that I could talk about for too much time are cars :oncoming_automobile: , games :alien_monster: , gym :flexed_biceps: , and :microscope: science.

Thanks for sharing, Gerald! Stay tuned because we have a few more community engineers to feature! :handshake: See previous features here.
