Can't create new tenant (no permission to access the resource)

Hey,
I just created my account and I was immediately prompted to create my first tenant. I entered something that fit, selected eu, as I am from there, and I clicked “Create Account”. I tried this multiple times, receiving one of three errors:

  1. Error!Something happened while trying to create the tenant: You don’t have permissions to access the resource
  2. Error!Something happened while trying to create the tenant: Failed to create account
  3. Error!Something happened while trying to create the tenant: API Error. Please contact support if the problem persists

It seems to be random what error I get, I am not connected to a VPN, I tried it using a vpn, I tried in a private window of a different browser, and I tried researching the error messages, but all I found was a post of someone who seemed to have a similar problem, but the issue was apparently solved in dms, and nothing of what happened is on the thing.

I don’t know what to do, it seemed like such a simple thing, just enter stuff, but I can’t do anything before registering my first tenant.

I don’t know if the tags are right, none seemed to fit.

Can someone help?

We apologies for encountering this situation, however the issue should have been related to a recent incident that was since resolved by our teams.

I would recommend trying to create a tenant once again, and you can let us know how it went.

I tried it multiple times since my post last night, and nothing changed by now, I am still getting the error messages. I have selected EU and typed in a custom name, it signaled me with a green checkmark that the name was available, but I could not do it, I got the API error message this time.

I am sorry to hear about this, but no worries, we will get to the bottom of this. Could you please try once again to create a tenant when using an incognito window? If that does not work, can you please let us know the exact Api Error Message you are receiving ?

I did what you recommended, and I recorded it, you can see the recording here:

In case you can’t see the video, either because something didn’t work or the policy forbids it:
The video shows me opening auth0 in a private tab, logging in, selecting EU, entering a name for the tenant, and clicking “Create Account” repeatedly without success, receiving error messages 2 and 3 in a random-seeming fashion. (referring to my original post)
