Cannot open a ticket

I am the top level user on this account. I opened the account myself. I am facing some issues with domain verification. I have tried pinging it and it is working fine but it will not validate within the user interface. When I try to open a ticket. I get this response. “You do not have access to open support tickets for . Please contact your tenant administrator to add you this tenant via the Dashboard.”

Hi @auth0userneedsupport

Welcome to the Auth0 Community!

As far as I have checked, your tenant appears to be a free one. Free tenants are unable to open support tickets and they are only able to post issues via the Auth0 Community.

Regarding the custom domain, how much time has been passed since you have added it? Also, once you have added the custom domain, refrain from deleting it and trying to add it again since that will restart the process each time. You might need to wait a couple of days until the custom domain is verified and available within the tenant.

If you have any other questions, feel free to leave a reply!

Kind Regards,
Nik

Thanks. It’s been about 24 hours. I added a credit card for the domain. At what point do I become a paying customer able to use the ticketing system?

Hi again. The process usually takes about 48-72 hours, if by the end of the week the domain is not yet verified, you leave a reply on the post to notify me about it.

Otherwise, as mentioned in our documentation about custom domains:

To set up a free custom domain, Auth0 tenants must have a valid credit card on file for verification purposes and fraud prevention. The credit card will not be charged.

In order for an Auth0 user to be able to submit support tickets via the support portal, they would need to be signed up to one of our plans (Essentials, Professional, Enterprise). The free trial which provides the access to all of the Auth0 features also allows the user to submit a support ticket for the duration of the trial.

Nik

Thanks Nik. We will most certainly be fully paying customers shortly - just getting set up. The verification is still failing despite a good ping. Could you please have a look when you get a chance?

Hi @auth0userneedsupport

I have checked your Auth0 Tenant and it appears that the Canonical Name for your custom domain appears to be different then the one provided by the Dashboard.

When you create a custom domain and it is pending verification you have the following fields:

When checking the Canonical Name for your domain, instead of Auth0 Canonical name provided by our site, you have a different one.

I would recommend you to replace the Canonical Name on the provider where you set up the custom domain and then wait for it to be verified. If you are still having issue, please let me know.

Kind Regards,
Nik

Hello Nik,

Thank you for your assistance. I’ve double-checked the CNAME settings in our DNS configuration, and it appears to match exactly with the value provided in the Auth0 dashboard under CNAME as well. In fact we’ve double checked it several times.

Could you please confirm if there’s a specific discrepancy in the “canonical name” that Auth0 is expecting? I want to ensure that any potential issues are clarified and resolved promptly.

The CNAME record is copy pasted to the HOST section under DNS settings and the CNAME Content is copy pasted to the ANSWER section under DNS settings.

Looking forward to your guidance on the next steps.

Hi @auth0userneedsupport

I will send you a DM with the details
