for our use case, we need to trigger a lambda function upon any user creation\update\delete.
I understand that hooks aren’t what I need (as no update-user hook).
Is there an extension that can be used, which can send the lambda the operation + user details (including roles).

Checkout the https://marketplace.auth0.com/integrations/amazon-log-streaming. This should allow you to set up a trigger based on specific log events.
