How do you support support a usual use case of searching users by name while wildcard search on user_metadata is not available?
There is no other option to store user name for a database connection but in user_metadata.name.

After investigating with our support department, we found with V3 it’s currently not possible, but it is something being discussed. However a work around would be using search in V2 for the time being until we have a more concrete answer for this in V3. I have linked the documentation below related to V2 Search.
