I’m hosting my application in AWS’s Asia Pacific (Singapore, ap-southeast-1). What is your recommended region when creating the tenant?
It looks like Japan should be the choice since Singapore is geographically nearer to Japan than Australia. However, Japan is earthquake-prone country.
Is the performance difference between Japan and Australia very significant?

We would suggest going for the geographically nearest region.
Regarding performance differences, you could create two free test tenants in these regions and send a curl to both to see the response time.
