Team Invitation Error "The user already exist"

Overview

After clicking on a team invitation link, the invited team member attempts to sign up but this fails with the error message:

The user already exists.

Cause

This error message indicates that the invited team member had previously created an Auth0 account.

Solution

The invited team member user should accept the invitation by clicking on the login link highlighted in the image below.

If the invited team member does not remember their login credentials, they can try to request to have them reset from the same invitation sign-up modal.
