Users in China face latency/inability to log in
The availability of the Auth0 service to users in China is likely to be affected by changes that the Chinese government makes to the Great Firewall of China (GFW), in addition to the quality of internet service/local proxy. If the GFW decides to block/limit AWS (which would include Auth0) then there would be:
- Trouble reaching our CDN https://cdn.auth0.com
- Delays talking to *.auth0.com domains
- Inability/delay to reach *.auth0.com domains as described
- Inability/delay in reaching any custom domains that are configured in an Auth0 tenant
This is all compounded by the fact that there have been reported bandwidth limitations of the GFW which spikes latency. Unfortunately, we don’t have any guarantees relating to Auth0 in China for the above factors.
