Production tenants: do I need an enterprise subscription and linking tenants?

Ready to post? :mag: First, try searching for your answer.
I am simply looking for the answer to the question asked here: how many tenants may I have in my subscription?

The accepted answer leaves me confused though, especially this part:

What are the differences between multiple production tenants if I create more than one? Does it mean if we pay for some extra features , say as add-ons (?) for the fist created production tenant, these won’t be available to others? I’d really appreciate some clarification re the production tenants here. That’s because I’m currently considering creating a production tenant for each customer for a B2C offering; that gives us the isolation also described in Auth0 documents: use tenants to isolate your apps, users etc.

Then there is this thread where the answer says enterprise subscriptions usually have one production tenant, kind of similar to the answer above, but that again goes against the sense I’m getting from the documentation: the documentation has no mention of this single production tenant practice/convention etc.

I’d appreciate some clarification, the documentation is not helping in this case.

Hi @seref.arikan,

Depending on your subscription plan, there is a limit to the number of production tenants you can have. If you exceed that amount, those tenants will be under a free subscription plan rather than your paid plan.

See below for these limits:

(Reference: Pricing - Auth0)

If you need to create a production tenant per customer, you might need an Enterprise subscription plan to support that requirement. This way, you can have an unlimited number of production tenants.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Rueben
