Is there a way to define or feed the mobile number of a user to be used in an MFA SMS scenario?
Our requirements include that the mobile number of the user is defined at account creation time and not asked to the end-user, namely, we must avoid self-service.

Unfortunately there is not a way to have it the way you wanted. That’s purely because of the fact how SMS MFA is designed:
I though initially that you might be able to do this by making custom UI and asking user for the number handling authentication hitting the right authorisation api endpoints and then passing that data to MFA but it’s not doable that way.
