Issues opening deeplink in iOS Chrome from email template

Hi all, I’m having some trouble getting my deeplinks from email templates to work properly.

I’ve configured the email verification template to use this url as the “Redirect To” value: com.tasl.attain-test://, which is just our app link. However I get two different experiences based on which mail app I actually tap that link from.

Through native iOS mail app/safari:

  1. Open email through the iOS mail app
  2. Click the link
  3. Safari opens up with auth0 email verification link
  4. Prompt shows to ask user to open the app

However opening it through gmail/chrome seems to lead to a dead end:

  1. Open email through the Gmail app
  2. Click the link
  3. Chrome opens and appears to open a new tab
  4. Tab immediately closes
  5. No prompt shows to ask user to open the app

I can’t seem to find any other similar issues to help me with this, anyone know what could be happening here?
