Intermittent ETIMEDOUT errors



We started experiencing intermittent ETIMEDOUT errors with our Custom Database authentication about 24 hours ago. These also occur when using the TRY button from the Connections configuration.

We have confirmed there is no firewall issue to our AWS RDS instance hosting the database, and this configuration has been working for the last 18 months.

We believe there is a problem in the Auth0 service.


It appears that the list of IP addresses needed in the firewall rules changed. We added the changed entries (which are now just 3) and things seems to be working fine again.
