How to redirect to universal login

I"m trying to get to the universal login. from the UL instructions, I went to the link as given to me, but upon going to that link, I get a blank page. Checking the network logs, I see this: http://localhost:3000/callback?error=unsupported_response_type&error_description=Unsupported%20response%20type%3A%20code|token

What is the proper way to redirect?
