Email template current year liquid syntax

Hi, i’m trying to insert a dynamic year referece in my email template footer.

in this post Dynamic copyright year in email template it dosen’t seem that hard, but i can’t get it to work with
{{ “now” | date: “%Y” }}

Any ideas?

I just tested it and was able to get this to work:

{{ "now" | date: "%Y" }}

Can you try typing it in manually and not with copy and paste? For some reason that was causing an issue for me.

Works like a charm when i wrote it instead of copying it!
