Double callback request from social sign in... "You may have pressed the back button" error

Social sign in via google is sending two callback requests, resulting in the “You may have pressed the back button” error. I believe this is triggered on google’s end and not something that we can control. The problem started today on production without any code changes, and we’re seeing the error on both Chrome and Safari after clearing cookies.

Any ideas on what’s going on or how to fix?

I don’t have a fix, but I’m seeing the same problem.
Curiously we’re only seeing it within one tenant, not across all google social connections.

I’m not sure that the double /callback is actually a problem- I see two callbacks even in a working setup. I do share your suspicion that something changed on google’s side.
