Overview
This article lists a few things to consider when customizing email templates.

Solution
- An email provider must be configured using a third-party service to be able to customize emails.
- Once the template is customized or a provider is set, the default template will change and cannot be recovered. Feedback was received, and the product team had an item to track with no currrent ETA.
- Please find the default HTML templates in our community.
- Only one template can be used for each template type.
- Auth0 does not support plaintext/text-based emails.
- The From Address, the Subject, and the Message body can be customized for each email template.
Using a “Custom provider” (check screenshot), if a custom template is in use but not used when the email is delivered to the user, please check that the From in the template is set. When using “Custom Provider”, no From
address is set for the Email Provider, meaning that it is mandatory to set up a custom From address at the template configuration to be allowed to render custom templates.
