Custom Domain verified and ready, but failing test and encountering /authorize error

Hey all,

I verified my custom domain about 8 hours ago with a CNAME record. Checking the custom domain via the management API shows me that the Status is “Ready” and the Verification Status is "Verified. Also checking a DNS lookup shows that the CNAME record exists.

However, clicking “Test” in the dashboard will give me an error: " Error! Looks like your domain is not configured correctly. Please take into account that the configuration process might take up to 10 minutes to complete due to DNS propagation."

I discovered this because when I’m trying to log in with my app, i go to [custom-domain]/authorize?clientId… And i get this error: unable to resolve jtn to webtask token. I also changed the domain from that url to the original non-whitelisted domain [tenant].us.auth0.com and the login page works fine, meaning that it must some error with the domain or how it’s provisioned.

Does anyone have any insight into what I can try to fix this? Let me know if I need to provide any additional information. Thank You!

Hi @mcheah,

Welcome to the Auth0 Community!

This was a known issue from our end and we are sorry for the inconveniences that it has created. The underlying problem has already been addressed and resolved by our engineering team and the system is now operating normally.

Please let us know if the issue still resides, since otherwise the recommended workaround would be deleting and recreating the custom domain. Thanks!

Best regards,
Remus
