Last year I set up AuthO Guardian to use with my Social Security account. Then early this year I had to buy a new phone. I downloaded the AuthO app but it doesn’t seem to work the same. Can’t get in to my SS acount.

Most probably you’ve encountered this issue because of not registering your new device for MFA with your Social Security account. The Auth0 Guardian authenticator is tied to a specific device, so when changing phones you can use the recovery code in order to re-gain access to your social security account, then re-enroll the Auth0 Guardian with your new phone.
I hope this helps, but if this does not work out I would suggest contacting the support team for the Social Security App, either to help with the steps needed to use the recovery code and re-enroll the authenticator, or help reset your MFA.
