"Application credentials" limitation in the Entity Limits policy

Problem statement

In the Entety Limit policy, there is a section stating that the Application credentials limit for enterprise accounts is 2000 (Entity Limit Policy).

What does this mean? Does it mean, for instance, that we can have up to 2000 apps with the credentials, modify default credentials for 2000 applications, or maybe something else?

Solution

There is no limit on the number of Applications (clients) that can be created in a tenant for the Enterprise plan.

The Application credentials limit for enterprise accounts mentioned in our Entity Limits policy implies 2000 “Applications” per tenant using Private Key JWT as the authentication mechanism. This application authentication method is described in the documentation about Application Credentials: Application Credentials.
