"Your email address could not be verified" when using templated "Redirect To" in password verification

I’ve seen multiple references to this issue in the forums, but it looks like it still hasn’t been fixed. If you use the suggested {{ application.callback_domain }} in the email verification template, the resulting verification appears to have failed when the user follows the link in the email.

This only happens if the email verification is trigger by creating the user via the Management API, or directly in the Auth0 Admin UI.

Is there a fix for this yet? Any workaround aside from not using templated callback domain (which we need)?

The user is verified but the page shows error message.
