Overview
As a Self-Service subscriber with a Team-based subscription, is it possible to transfer a tenant that belongs to another Team? There are multiple reasons why this type of transfer is required including:
- The tenant was created by an Auth0 admin account that does not belong to the current Team, causing a separate Team to be created for the new tenant
- Two projects with tenants that are on different teams need to be unified
- Other reasons
Solution
Auth0 does not currently support this request for Self-Service Team-based subscriptions. Tenants cannot be transferred between teams.
In these cases, a new tenant should be created under the right team, and the configurations and users from the original tenant can be exported and then imported into the new tenant using the self-service tools mentioned in the article How to clone tenants.
