Problem Statement:

Is there a way to toggle the visibility of the “Show Password"/eye icon in the Login widget?

Solution:

By default, the Show Password icon is visible in the New Universal Login Experience. We can not toggle it off in the new UL.

For the Classic Login Experience, the icon is off by default. It can be toggled on by adding allowShowPassword: true in the HTML Lock template. This article explains the details.
