Hi everybody,
we have 3 partner companies using Microsoft authentication system. They would like to join our apps through SSO. I read about the opportunity to register for Enterprise Auth0, up to 3 tenants.
My question: pricing per 3 tenant means I can provide SSO login to the WHOLE 3 companies (about 3k employees each) or just to 3 persons at once? Sorry for the
commonplace question.
Thank you everybody, Eugenio.
Hi @eugenio.tursi
Welcome to the Auth0 Community!
For the use case that you described, separating each company in their own tenant is the best course of action for structuring multi-company scenarios. To answer shortly, each tenant provides SSO for all the users it contains and not for individuals, this way one tenant will handle SSO authentication for about 3k users based on what you mentioned. I do warmly recommend reading through our blog post on Building Single-Tenant vs. Multi-Tenant Apps with Auth0, as it can provide key information for you.
One thing to keep in mind would be that the overall cost of the Enterprise subscription will not be directly influenced by the number of tenants that you have under it, but by the amount of Monthly Active Users. While supporting around 9k users is not a problem, the final price will be dictated by how many of them actively use SSO to access your applications in each month. In this regard, I can recommend our blog post on Auth0 MAU Explained: How to Calculate and Optimize Your Costs.
I hope this provided some clarity for you on the matter, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for any other issues or requests!
Have a great weekend ahead!
