Password Reset Using Only Username with Phone Number and Username as Identifiers

This article explains whether a user can reset a password using only the username when the Database connection has both Username and Phone Number enabled as flexible identifiers.

Cause

Solution

Currently, in a scenario where Username and Phone Number are the enabled flexible identifiers, the user must provide the phone number to receive a password reset via SMS. The capability to use only the username for password reset in this configuration is a planned future enhancement.

In contrast, if Email and Username are the enabled identifiers, a user can reset the password using either the email address or the username.
