Node.js 22 (or 20) for running actions

Hi,

the recommended Node.js version for running actions is 18 which has been in maintenance mode since last year and will go into EOL next April.

When will the support for Node.js v22 (the current LTS) or v20 (still LTS but already in maintenance) be introduced?

Hi @gualtiero.testa,

That’s correct. We will announce support for Node 22 in January 2025, at which point it will be the recommended version moving forward. Stay tuned for an update in January 2025. For the moment, you should be okay with continuing to use Node 18 until further notice.
