Need Help! Locked Out of My WordPress Dashboard After Losing My Authy 2FA Codes

Hi everyone,

I’m feeling a bit stressed and hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.

A few days ago, I lost access to the phone that had my Authy app on it. Since then, I haven’t been able to log in to my WordPress dashboard for website theppciine.com.br because it keeps asking for the two-factor authentication code that I no longer have.

I’m not a tech-savvy person, so I’m honestly confused about what to do next. I still know my WordPress username and password, but without the Authy code I’m completely locked out. I don’t even remember setting up backup or recovery codes, so I’m worried I’ve made a big mistake. The website is live but I am unable to access the login dashboard as it remains stuck on the 2fa access screen.

This website is really important to me, and not being able to access it has been frustrating. Has anyone here gone through something similar? Is there a safe way to recover my Authy account or bypass the 2FA after proving that I’m the owner? I have already a thread on the wordpress forum for this issue, & they said to create a ticket on authy support!

I’d really appreciate any advice explained in simple terms. Thanks so much in advance for taking the time to help. I genuinely appreciate it.

Hi @itspauljnicoleson

Welcome to the Auth0 Community!

I understand that you have lost your phone and are no longer able to access your Auth0 dashboard to manage your Wordpress application due to MFA restrictions.

I assure you that this issue can be resolved if we reset your MFA factor and you re-enroll on your new phone. Please send a DM ( Direct Message ) to our @support group, forwarding all the information provided and confirming the email address of your Auth0 account and the name/domain of the tenant you are trying to access. You can click on " support" mentioned above and should have the option of sending a message to the group. The DM creates a private conversation where more sensitive details can safely be shared with us for troubleshooting.

Looking forward to your DM!

Have a great one,
Gerald
