Modify machine to machine scopes

Hi all, I’m new to Auth0 and to this forum so I apologize in advance if I ask any naive questions.

Is there a way to modify the scopes returned in an access token? I tried using rules but rules seem to only apply to user logins.

I want to add additional scopes based on the pesence of a scope requested.

Hi Joe. Rules don’t execute on a client-credentials exchange (machine-to-machine flows), but you can use a hook to accomplish the same purpose.
