it always takes very long to login. simply from C#. What could be the cause of this.

Are you able to elaborate on this a bit more? How long is very long? Are you using Universal Login, embedded login, etc.? I’m not sure if it will help in this particular case, but please have a look at our documentation on performance best practices:
