Increase `Inactivity timeout` and `Require log in after` on the Essentials plan

Feature: Provide a short title of your feature request/feedback.

Increase Inactivity timeout and Require log in after on the Essentials plan.

Description: Give us some details about your feedback/feature request. Examples, screenshots, videos, etc. are helpful.

The limits are currently 3 days and 30 days, respectively, which is really low and can impact UX. Your own blog post even mentions this, but provides no solution for non-Enterprise customers.

This could be 30-60 days for inactivity, and 6 months, 1 year, or even indefinite for requiring login.

The name of the plan is Essentials, and I would certainly consider this essential for many customers. In fact, it’ll likely be a blocker for us unfortunately.

Use-case: Tell us what you are building. How would the feedback/feature improve your experience?

A website and app with news and other data, where signing a user out after 3 days would just not be cool.

Hey there!

Thanks for creating this feedback card. Let’s see who else from community will be interested in such improvement!

Definitely interested in seeing this, considering some businesses are implementing 3-day weekends, they’re logged-out of essential business services come Monday morning!

This is an absolute blocker for us. This single “feature” alone would have 100% prevented me from choosing Auth0 for our startup. 3 day inactivity timeout is absolutely unacceptable for almost any modern app.

Thank you everyone for providing your context here and advocating for that feature! We review those feedback cards on a monthly basis and will let you know once we have any updates to share!
