How to set a custom link for "Signup" link in new Universal login form?

What would be the best way to provide a custom SignUp link in the Universal Login form ?

We can not update the Signup link by customizing the New Universal Login template, unfortunately. Have you got a chance to check this doc and see if it works for your use case?
