How do I add a default user metadata to a new user on first login?

Hi,
I wanted to add some user metadata when a user first time login into our application.
How do I add rule for that.

This doc shows how to add metadata to a user in a rule.

You can see if it exists for your user, if not, then add it. Would that flow work for you?
