Overview
This article will describe why emails are not received after configuring a custom email provider and the following error message is displayed in the logs:
Error sending email: Mail command failed: 550 #5.1.0

Cause
The message is rejected because the recipient’s mail server does not accept the messages from the given sender. This occurs when the sender’s email address, domain, or IP address is on the recipient’s blocklist.
Solution
To fix this issue, set a different email address in the “FROM” field inside the custom email provider configuration.
