Problem statement
This article addresses the situation in which when opening Applications in Google Chrome and selecting an application, they get the below error and cannot open any application.
Cannot read property 'toLowerCas e*’ of undefined error*
When looking at the console, the error also continues to loop infinitely.
Symptoms
The user is unable to open any application and gets a Cannot read property ‘toLowerCase’ of undefined error .
Steps to reproduce
This is difficult to reproduce because this requires a very old version of Google Chrome browser.
Solution
A different browser or update of a Google Chrome version must be in use. The issue mentioned in this article was spotted for version 90 instead of version 120 (on 2/8/2024)
