We are using linkedin and sometimes get the invalid state error (“you might have pressed back button etc”). I configured the Application Login URI, and am testing the case mentioned in the docs, namely bookmarking the linkedin page, and I still get the error page and it does not redirect to the login url I set.
Hi @engineering7,
Welcome to the Auth0 Community!
Given that you are mentioning this behavior is happening only sometimes and the significance of the error, this issue should be caused by either blocked Auth0 cookies or certain end-user interactions with the login page. I would advise on checking these possible reasons by having a look at this KB article - Error “You may have pressed the back button”.
What I could also recommend is to make sure that there are no mismatches of your domain in your configuration, both on the Auth0’s side, but also the IDP’s side, especially if you are using a custom domain, redirecting users to your correct app’s /login route, since these are the most frequent causes.
Thank you and if the issue continues or you have other questions, please let me know!
Best regards,
Remus
