Active Directory Integration... What am I missing?

Hi,

I have an Active Directory connection set up and configured. I can login a user with the “try” button from the connection list. This then creates a user I can login with via the Authorization API flow. However, on the auth0 login page, I have to log in by username (not email).

What I can’t do is have a user in the AD that Auth0 hasn’t seen yet login, or login by email, which seems essential because its the domain that should be used to map to the AD.

Its probably something obvious that I’m missing… what is it?
