I honestly liked Auth0 at first because setup was quick, but the deeper my capcut app download gets, the more frustrating the authentication flow becomes.
Something as simple as handling editor roles, client access, and private video previews now feels way more complicated than it should. Every small change turns into debugging callbacks, token scopes, or redirect rules for hours.
The most annoying part is that issues are inconsistent between local development and production, especially after deployments. At this point I spend more time fixing auth edge cases than actually improving the platform itself.
Curious if other people building media or creator-focused apps eventually hit the same wall with Auth0 complexity.
